St. Edward Catholic School greatly benefits from the active and generous support of it's Parent Teacher Organization. The PTO of St. Edward School helps support the spiritual and educational growth of all it's students and faculty through the coordination of volunteers and promotion of various school fundraisers. All parents of St. Edward Catholic School are members of our PTO and are welcome to attend the monthly meetings. Meetings are held the 2nd Monday of each month in the school library at 7PM. The Friday before the meeting an agenda will go home with the students to prepare attendees for what will be discussed.

The purpose of Booster Club is to set school athletic policy, plan and schedule athletic events, raise money for athletic programs and equipment, maintain and operate concessions, organize & coach players and cheerleaders and help establish school pride and spirit. In the past, the Booster Club has purchased new basketball, cheerleading and track uniforms: new volleyball nets and posts, just to name a few things. Most recently we have put in a new floor and the new water fountains throughout the school. This organization is a fun way to be involved with the school and help provide equipment for various programs. We have a great group working together in the Boosters and would love to see new faces at our meetings, which are held the first Wednesday of every month, at 6:00 p.m. in the school library. Watch your school calendars for athletic sign-ups for the various sports offered at St. Edward School. If you are interested in assisting in any of the sports, you can contact one of the members listed below, or please join us at our monthly meetings:

“Scrip” is a term that basically means substitute money. In our case they are gift cards. There are two programs that we participate in. The first is a direct program with Kroger and the other is through Great Lakes Scrip.
Kroger Scrip Program: Kroger uses re-loadable gift cards that have been “coded” to our school. Once you buy your first card from us, you can keep contributing by adding money to your card at any Kroger customer service desk or register. You can re-load your card using your choice of cash, check, or credit card. Once a month, they send us a statement of all the new cards and reloads made for our account, and will send us a check for 3%. This is a great opportunity to increase your giving to the parish without spending any additional money.
Great Lakes Scrip Program: This program allows us to purchase gift cards for hundreds of merchants at a discount, while those who buy the cards receive the face value of the cards they buy. On the order form, there is a % discount next to each retailer, and this is the amount that gets donated back to our parish. We usually place scrip orders once a month. To learn more about this program go to glscrip.com, or contact Elena Kiser.
Raffles are held last Sunday of the month. This is an ongoing fundraiser for the school. This fund raiser runs on the calendar year. Tickets for the whole year (this will put you in the raffle each month automatically) sells for $60.00. Your chances of winning the raffle are better than winning the lottery! Parent Club looks forward to your participation in this fundraiser and hopes to see the raffle grow! For information, or to join, contact Carrie Espinosa.
Just clip out and send your BoxTops for Education labels along with UPCs or lids from participating Labels for Education products to school with your child. Each classroom has a Campbell’s collection tub in which to put the labels and box tops. The labels and box tops will be gathered every Thursday. Most months (some are combined due to being shorter) there will be a prize for the class that collects the most box tops per student.
How do you help? Go to www.kroger.com and click on labels for education. On the next screen click on Click to Sign-Up. Follow the simple directions to set-up an account. You will need to have your Kroger shopper’s card handy (the one you use to get discounts). You will need to enter the number off the back and also answer a few questions.
