We measure our success in actual lives enriched, a testament to the difference that Catholic schools can make when we come together to create lasting change.

Faith At St. Edward Catholic School your child receives an education that is grounded in the Roman Catholic faith. Spiritual and moral development permeates the entire curriculum at St. Edward. Many non-Catholic families also benefit from the fruits of an education that focuses on the total student: body, mind, and soul. Academics Catholic schools are renowned for academic excellence. Students in Catholic schools consistently score in the top 1/3 on nationally standardized tests. Iowa Basic Skills test scores of St. Edward students are consistent with these national scores.St. Edward School is committed to the philosophy that every student matters. Every effort is made to work with students who need remedial assistance. Academically gifted students are challenged within individualized programs that meet their level of learning. Relationships Students are encouraged to work at their personal best each day. Diversity is celebrated in every classroom, and students who may be struggling are offered a variety of help from teachers, other students, and support staff. Our faculty guides students with firmness, yet kindness and love. Because our classes are so small in size, faculty and staff are able to create greater relationships with their students that last well past their graduation from our school. Values St. Edward students model their dedication to community service each and everyday. Students enjoy helping others in their community. Each school year classes at St. Edward Catholic School choose service projects to participate in throughout their community. Students also make cards for area shut-ins and the 5th – 8th grade classes attended mass monthly at Heritage Manor, the local nursing home in Chillicothe, IL. Throughout the year students also participate in various activities to support charities, including St. Jude Children Research, Relay for Life, and Juvenile Diabetes.
